Work without interruption through spotty wifi or cellular service and automatically sync when service returns. All data is stored on device and sent when a connection is available. All functionality continues working while offline.
Scrap yards are hard on wireless signals: metal buildings, piles of steel and long distances between the scale and the office. Scrap Golem is built to keep working when the connection drops, not to throw an error and lose your ticket.
Each device keeps its own copy of your tickets, customers and prices. When you make a change, it's saved on the device right away and queued to send. When the connection comes back, the queue goes out on its own, with no button to press and nothing to re-enter. Photos are queued the same way and upload once there's a connection.
The connection drops
Keep creating tickets, reading the scale, taking photos and collecting signatures. Every change is saved on the device.
Changes wait in line
Anything that hasn't been sent yet is listed on the Pending changes screen.
The connection returns
The queue sends itself, and your other devices pick up the changes.
Scrap Golem keeps track of which device is working on each ticket. If another device picks it up, it gets the latest version first, so one person's changes don't overwrite another's.
A few things depend on an outside service and wait until you're back online: sending tickets to LeadsOnline, checking LeadsOnline's Do-Not-Buy list, and taking over a ticket that another device is in the middle of editing.
We'll walk you through Scrap Golem with your own workflow and equipment in mind.
